We are witnessing the growing chasm between knowledge and understanding within organisations, which is disheartening. π
While booking countless e-learning courses might seem like a proactive approach to development, it often leads to a troubling reality: the knowledge gained is superficial and disconnected from the company's and its people's actual needs.
What are we really achieving when we prioritise 'it's done' over quality in our training efforts? Are we filling our employees with information that doesn’t resonate with their daily challenges or aligns with the company’s culture?
This approach can create a knowledge gap and a profound cultural problem within our businesses.
How often do we stop to reflect on the experiences of our teams?

Before, I felt lost. Like a puzzle with missing pieces. I struggled with focus, organization, and the pressure to conform to neurotypical expectations. I just felt...rubbish. Like a failure. I never suspected ADHD; I simply knew I was different and couldn’t seem to “fix” it.
My diagnosis was the missing piece. Suddenly, the challenges, the quirks, the unique way my brain works – it all made sense.
But more importantly, this diagnosis gave me something invaluable: self-acceptance.
It wasn’t about defining myself by a label. It was about recognizing that my ADHD is just one facet of who I am. It’s a part of me, but it doesn’t define me.
This realisation was incredibly liberating. It allowed me to:
π Embrace my authentic self. I no longer try to fit into a mold that wasn’t made for me. I celebrate my neurodiversity and all the quirks that make me unique.
πͺπΌ Challenge societal norms. I don’t have to conform to expectations that don’t serve me. I create my own path and live life on my own terms.
ππΌ Find my tribe. I’ve surrounded myself with people who understand and appreciate my ADHD brain.
This journey’s been transformative!
I’ve learned that true strength comes from embracing our whole selves, including the parts that make us different.
Someone special to me reminded me of this video and said that when I ever doubt myself, to watch this! This video post diagnosis captures those early feelings of being lost and misunderstood.

This is a bridging course between an AET Level 3 and a diploma in Training.
It hits what a level 4 does but in a way which is more appropriate for active trainers being less academic and more practical.
Cost of this οΏ½is £2500 per learner for 9 units which includes 9 x 3 hour sessions online. Access to an online support group and 2 one to one sessions after the course with me!
Or you can do pick and mix learning at £300 per unit if you don't need the continual support.

People take mirror selfies with their phones, looking at their phones instead of directly at the camera for a few reasons:
Firstly - Composition π€©
Looking at the phone screen helps individuals frame themselves within the mirror.
It allows them to see how they are positioned and make any necessary adjustments to ensure they capture the image they desire.
Secondly - Visual Confirmation π€
When people look at their phones, they can ensure that the framing is right and in the centre. They then know how to adjust their pose, expression, or background to get the desired shot.
